Since its debut in 2016, "CRAFT SAKE WEEK" has been dedicated to promoting the allure of sake and Japanese culinary culture to both domestic and international audiences. Having hosted over 1.25 million guests, the event has garnered significant attention from global media and world-renowned chefs. More than just a tasting event, it has evolved into a cultural platform that redefines the value of sake and explores its limitless potential.
Over the past decade, the market for sake has expanded globally, with sake now standing alongside wine in the world’s finest dining scenes. By creating a space where sake, chefs, breweries, and consumers connect, CRAFT SAKE WEEK has remained at the forefront of Japanese culinary evolution.
Our venue design modernizes traditional Japanese aesthetics using iconic materials such as cherry blossoms, bamboo, rope, and masu (wooden sake cups). In collaboration with leading young Japanese architects, we balance elements of light, shadow, and 'Kukan' (space), transforming the space into an enchanting showcase of Japanese culture to be passed down to the next generation.
The 10th-anniversary edition in 2026 marks a historic milestone. We will celebrate the journey we’ve shared with the chefs and breweries who have built this culture together, while looking forward to the future of Japanese gastronomy.
This year features a record-breaking 130 breweries. Each day, 10 different breweries will showcase their crafts under a unique daily theme. The lineup is meticulously curated through tastings of approximately 400 breweries by a panel of 200 experts—including Hidetoshi Nakata, top-tier chefs, and sommeliers—bringing together only the finest selections from across Japan.
