Sakenomy, one of Japan’s largest sake apps (operated by JAPAN CRAFT SAKE COMPANY), announces rankings of top-rated Japanese sake in three categories—Product, Brand, and Brewery—based on user ratings recorded during the designated period.*
*Designated period: Nov 1, 2024, to Oct 31, 2025

In The Sakenomy Award, eligible entries are drawn from tens of thousands of products, thousands of brands, and over a thousand breweries. Based on the average scores from users’ tasting records, those meeting our criteria are recognized as follows:

• ・GOLD: Ranks 1–10
• ・SILVER: Ranks 11–20
• ・BRONZE: Ranks 21–30

The Award identifies the “must-drink sake of the year” as selected by general consumers. This year’s winners were evaluated across multiple aspects—including flavor, aroma, and brewing technique—offering an essential lineup for everyone from beginners to seasoned enthusiasts.

In The Sakenomy Award 2025, rankings are presented in three categories:

• ・Product Category: Showcasing individual sake products that compete on their own merits, regardless of the brewery's size or history.
• ・Brand Category: Featuring both familiar labels and innovative new brands that reflect the results of breweries’ dedication to brand-building in line with the times.
• ・Brewery Category: Highlighting the history and philosophy that breweries have cultivated over years of craftsmanship.

These rankings are based on evaluations from general consumers, ensuring that the selected sake resonates with a broad audience and garners widespread support.

This year’s winners include iconic labels celebrated for distinctive character and quality, alongside innovative sake that embrace modern approaches while honoring tradition—together signaling the future of the industry.

Out of tens of thousands of products, thousands of brands, and over a thousand breweries, those meeting specific criteria based on the average ratings from Sakenomy users' “tasting records” are recognized.
The awards are divided into the following rankings:
